About Jim

A native Memphian, Jim Montgomery was a graduate of Briarcrest High School and finished his upper education at Montreat-Anderson College and The University of Alabama.

After working as a district sales manager for a hardware company, Jim finally fulfilled a life-long dream of opening his own business, so in 1989, he found investors, created a C Corp, sold stock, and started from scratch building his business.

During his time at WREC he also wrote a weekly computer article for "The Memphis Business Journal" for three years with a circulation of over 100,000. He was a regular weekly guest on FOX 13 Good Morning Memphis for almost four years.

Jim has been happily married for over 25 years to Beverly Montgomery, a Meridian, Mississippi girl who he met at The University of Alabama.
